Humans:
Humans in this story are basically the same as normal humans, except most women and in very rare cases men have powers. The women are considered by most males to be inferior to men. Most humans are Grevdinites. They live in cities and towns, with the exception of the Sisterhood and a few other, in the lower valley. There are also people, male and female, who do not have one power but are Bruxa (witches) in the Desert of Embeden. They mostly live in nomadic tribes, with two big cities. The Desert People worship the Goddess (like the Sisterhood).
Bruxa:
Bruxa are the witches and wizards, who, like the women with powers, are mostly but not quite human (or whatever their race of origin is). They can be Desert People, Valley People, Mountain People, or dwarves. It is a hereditary trait (but one may have the trait without being a Bruxa) one characterized by an ability to use potions, spells, and healing magic to do your will. The Fae are all able to do the spells and healing magic, though most lack potion skills, but they are not Bruxa. The Bruxa are loners, no one knows how long they live for, there are rumors of Bruxa living for hundreds and even thousands of years. The human Bruxa worship the Goddess or are Grevedin, the dwarves worship using Din.
Vampires:
Vampires in Byd can be created either through being born to one vampire (1/2 chance they will be a vampire), born to two vampires (999/1000 chance they will be a vampire), or by being human and then bitten. The vampires do not prey on humans, only animals. Most vampires are found in the lower valley. They normally are atheist (no religion) but some have been converted to other religions. They all have purple, red, or black eyes, and fangs. They also have pale skin, but otherwise look like humans. They stop growing at the age of 16-18, and live for ever as long as they are not killed.
Fae:
Somewhat like the elves in epics such as The Lord of the Rings and The Inheritance Cycle, the Fae are fair and tall. They have pointed ears and their own brand of special magic. Fae are wise and can live forever, as long as they are not killed by wounds or illness. They are strong, fast, and do age, though very slowly.
This verse starts every Fae epic (which is how they tell their stories):
This is the tale of the Fae kings of old,
Strong and tall and brave and true,
Fair as the sunset,
With hair like gold,
Or woven night,
It does not end well.

Sarako
The Sarako are like evil elves, though they have wings (can disguise them when disguised as a fae) They do not hate males, and some of them are male. They mainly have red or black wings. The Sarako can disguise themselves, and are allied with the Valley Lords. They have a lot more magic than the fae, and live closer to Havarte. The Sarako live on the outskirts of the Mawr-Gog mountains, in treetop villages. They are Grevdinites, and are the ones who brought this religion to the humans. The Sarako are ruled by a queen at the moment, Queen Havely. The Sarako live for up to 250 years.
Leanbh:
The Leanbh are a type of monster created by the Sarako long ago. They live for 15 years, and always have faces of babies. They are huge and muscular, but not very smart, they can only follow orders. They are mainly used as guards and soldiers by the Valley Lords.
Dwarves:
The dwarves are reclusive beings who live in the Mawr-Gog, around Lake Horidian. They live in three cavern cities in the surrounding mountains, Dovengood (the capital), Horidian, and Evecia. The tallest are 4 ft tall, the children are about 1 foot. The men have long beards, in either red, black, or brown, that they are very proud of. They have no magic, but are extraordinarily good with metal and stone and live to be around 750. The dwarves are neutral in this battle and are the only ones who know the dragons secrets. The dwarves have a fondness for parties after battles, and are often considered gruff. They worship their own gods, in a religion called Din.
Dragons:
Very little is known about the dragons. Only the dwarves know whether they are still alive and if so where they live. The legends say they live for thousands of years and are tricksters.
About Dragons Found In Chapter 10:
He had always been fascinated by the dragons, who had disappeared into the Mawr-Gog one hundred years before, when Lurent, the last free Valley Kingdom, fell to the family of Archduke Nervis. There were tales of their gem-like scales and the beautiful flames they breathed. There were stories of their majesty, their cleverness, their awe-inspiring greatness. Dragons had long been a topic of discussion in Havarte, for not even the Sisterhood knew where the highly intelligent beings had gone. Some claimed they had retreated farther north than ever before explored, while others said they were simply hidden in some secluded mountain pass. Though the dwarves were rumored to know where they were, they weren’t saying, and the dragons became more of a wishful memory than a known fact. They had been rare even in the time of the original three sisters, and the last dragon sighting was two years after Archduke Spine, Henry’s great-great-grandfather, took over Lurent. But there was no denying that the first to recruit a dragon to their side would probably win the prophesied war. Both the Valley Lords and the Sisterhood had been searching for decades. So far, they had only found more myths and rumors.
